MAKE OR MAKE NOT

The project was conceived with the idea of creating an innovative book that explores the world of 3D printing in three dimensions. These dimensions are expressed through three distinct modes of interaction: reading, observing, and printing. By integrating QR codes, each project described allows readers to download 3D printing files, making this book the first of its kind in the world.

MAKE OR MAKE NOT - COVER IMAGE

The first dimension consists of words that tell the story of +LAB, the 3D printing lab at the Politecnico di Milano. The second dimension is expressed through images. Photographs of people, projects, products, and ideas that collectively helped shape a new way of “making.” The third dimension is represented by bits. This is where the book transcends the boundaries of the two-dimensional page: through QR codes, readers can download 3D printing files for all the projects described. A three-dimensional book, then, that not only enhances reality but goes beyond it, becoming a medium to concretely share and celebrate the beauty of “know-how” today and in the future.
