YIC - YOUR INNER CHILD

Takes origin as an extension of the site-specific work Angel Gabriel “POP” – The Freedom to Be a Child, conceived on the occasion of the exhibition We Need Colors to Survive This World by Monica Silva, hosted at Fondazione Marchesani in Venice. The project stands as a tribute to the thought of psychoanalyst Alice Miller and to the central role of childhood as a space of vulnerability, memory, and potential healing.

Through a series of collectible 3D-printed sculptures, a sacred figure is reinterpreted as a contemporary symbol of rebirth and emotional expression, transforming into a metaphor of the inner child. Each color represents an emotion and becomes a tool for reconnection with one’s deepest self.

Produced as a limited edition (10 pieces per color), the collection is made of PLA, a plant-based bioplastic, using additive processes of 3D scanning and printing. Each work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, a curatorial text, and a color card describing its psycho-physical meaning.

YIC unfolds as a hymn to the freedom of being, to transformation, and to the celebration of human uniqueness through color, matter, and symbol.
